Recently, I noticed a particular woman
that always drive out from her compound for school run by 8:40 am or thereabout
and probably, they always arrive at school premises by 9:00 am when other children
must have been comfortably seated in class learning. This has been going on for
quite a long time and I decided to inform this woman the implications of lateness
to school.
Below is my discussion with the
woman;
Me: Good Morning ma’am
Woman: Good morning
Me: Trust you had a
goodnight rest with your family and how are the children doing?
Woman: We are all doing
fine and yours?
Me: We are doing great,
thank you. Please, what’s the name of your children’s school and where exactly
is it located?
Woman: ……. And it is located at …….
Me: Oh that’s a bit far,
hope they won’t be late to school cause it’s almost 9:00am?
Woman: Oh no! They will
still catch up with their first lesson in class
Me: Oh really? That means,
they don’t always take part in school assembly?
Woman: No. Assembly is
always THE SAME now
Me: Oh their school uniform
is so lovely (I began to dust and adjust his son’s uniform). Just that, it
seems they really had a good play yesterday?
Woman: (now a bit embarrassed)
yes. These children and play sha! Mtchew! Their cloths seem dirty bah?
Me: They are OBVIOUSLY
very dirty madam.
From there, I got the attention and
opportunity I needed to really talk to her. After the discussion, I noticed a great
change. Though they still leave the house late (8:25 – 8:30am now, not like before 8:40), they no longer
leave the house looking so scruffy and unkempt.
Bible! Little wonder you’re called
the book of life! Whoever that meditatively read and live on God’s word
certainly stands out from this chaotic world! Anybody can acquire a house with money, but it
takes a virtuous woman to build a home. Money can buy house(s) but only a
virtuous woman can build a home. Bible never makes mistakes and that’s why it
calls women home builders. God who knows the end even from the very beginning
molded woman and installed great strength and a sense of versatility in her because
He already knew the tasks that lies ahead of woman. The strength of woman even
amazes man. Our former leader in intercessory ministry once said that if men
were to take up the domestic responsibilities of VIRTUOUS women, they will end
up in mortuary earlier than scheduled. That’s the truth! But you know what?
Some women are yet to discover this inner beauty in them.
No matter how “civilization” tries to
twist it, domestic chores as a duty, lies in the hands of woman of the house. A husband out of love, can choose to assist her wife but that does not mean that he
has domestic chores as his duty. Mind
you, when a man chooses to assist his woman doing domestic chores, the woman is not
expected to nag any day he chooses not to get involved. I know that some women
will raise their eyebrows with that “Can you just imagine?” look on their faces.
Look, there’s no such thing like, “we have to share domestic chores in this
house o cause I’m not your slave o. Blah blah blah!” If you’ve been reasoning and
acting that way, it means that you do NOT know what you are doing! Do you know
that some women WITHOUT words, spurs their men, into helping out with almost
all the chores in the house? You don’t know? If a man vehemently refused or
abruptly stopped helping a woman with domestic chores, there’s an urgent need
for the woman to sit down and assess her total way of life. It’s either there’s something the woman does
that she doesn't need to do, or, there’s something she doesn’t do that she needs
to do. Women, be wise as you’re created to be. It’s only a beast that will not stretch out a
helping hand to assist a woman who happily and cheerfully runs around every
now and then, to build and keep her home. Yes, I can hear you say, “You will
not understand! Some men are wicked! Some men are beasts!” Oh yes! I agree quite alright but
I also want to let you know that no man was BORN a beast! It takes a foolish woman to bring out the beast in a man and it takes a wise woman to kill the beast in a man. Women, be
wise as you’re created to be!
Someone may say, “But woman’s task is
too enormous for just one person!” And the answer is YES! But any woman that
knows exactly what she is doing should be able to have these young men that
work wonders, very close to her. Wondering who the young men are? The two young men are Mr. PLAN and Mr.
PLANNING. Now, what has a woman running a home got to do with plan and
planning, you may ask?
