What Do You Have For The World?

What do you plan to leave behind when you're gone? Many will be so uncomfortable with this question because the thought of closing eyes to eternity doesn't cross their mind. Some of us live their lives as if they will never die but fortunately or unfortunately, the bitter truth is that we all must die someday. So, what do you plan to leave behind for the generations to come? What would you be remembered for?

Jesus served His gifts so well that He cannot be erased from history. You may say Jesus is God, therefore He should have the ability, have you forgotten that His ability is in you? He even made a promise to us that we can do greater things in His name. If you still insist that Jesus achieved His purpose because He’s God, let's talk about
human beings that live forever in the context of human memory because history cannot afford to forget some people. Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel and sculpted the Pieta. Leonardo da Vinci painted the Monalisa and the Last Supper. You cannot talk of the history of survival of twins without talking of Mary Slessor. Mother Teresa's name rings bell because of her service to humanity. They are gone long ago but their works and services live on. You may also argue that they are from the western world where many believe that things are easier, but let's come back home. Prof Dora Akunyili passed on recently and Nigeria as a nation is already missing her. Was she the first and the last Director of NAFDAC? No. Why is the whole country missing her? Because she did something that NO other director in NAFDAC has ever done. She rendered her service to humanity excellently well. Are you now convinced that you can as well make your contribution to humanity?
So, what are you doing for humanity? What value are you adding to the society? Do people feel your presence wherever you go and do they miss you whenever you leave? What are you going to leave behind for the generations to come? Who's going to see and feel your glory after you're gone? Will the lingering fragrance of your glory sweeten the earth? Many may say, "But I don't have enough money to share to people". Dear friends, life is not all about money. The issue at hand is not about money. The issue at hand is something only you in the whole wide world have, that the world is in dire need of. The value in each human is the gift they were born to deliver to humanity. Every human being was born to contribute to his or her generation. No one was given life just to occupy space. Every human came to earth with something that humanity needs. If everybody were to discover his or her own value, balanced by the understanding that every God created human being has a contribution to make, all the needs in the world would be met. You're able to read this piece with whatever device you're using, because someone understands that he has a contribution to make and he gave you and I what we need.
Life will make great meaning when you discover that there’s great need for you to leave your glory on earth before you leave. Do not write your life story with a pen on paper but write your life story with your action in the heart of people. You have something that the world needs. You're a solution to world's problem. God designed you with uncommon gift so as to give the world what they need and only you can do that. It will be so unfair to deny the world that uncommon gift. Have you ever thought of the report you will give to God? You can't afford to fail God! You can't afford to babble before God like a servant that buried his gift. This is a wakeup call. Do not be comfortable if people cannot miss your presence or feel your absence. Be so uncomfortable if at this point in time, you haven't discovered why you're here on earth. Do not be so comfortable in an uncomfortable situation! You're created with enviable and unique gifts/talents/creative abilities, where are they? #WakeUpAndRiseUp
