Mend Your Cracked Wall
1:00 am at pastor's house
Pastor: you've killed me son! Chei! What would people say? That my own son was expelled from a school in London? See how haggard you look and see what you've done to MY NAME! ME? THE FOUNDER of a church! You brought shame upon ME and tarnished MY image? Do you know how much I've spent on you?
Son: Daddy, I did whatever I did out there and not here in Nigeria and you're still screaming about tarnishing YOUR image. Of course I've guarded YOUR name with care here in Nigeria and I should be given credit for that! For your information, I've sold your house in UK. Do well to get another one!
With that he stormed out and Pastor fainted.

A Must Attend!
Hello HODA fam!
Trust you're doing great?
Recently, a couple came to me for a counselling session. When they STORMED in, everywhere and everything around (except me) became tensed up. The look on their faces could kill the strongest beast in the world.
Before I could open my mouth to say a word of welcome to them, both of them chorused, "I'm tired." With both confusion and surprises written all over me, I asked, "tired of what please?" Both of them started screaming at each other. They blamed themselves for almost everything, ranging from their children's character to financial challenge. They were ready to exchange blows before me. I immediately deduced something from their melodrama.
When I succeeded in calming them down, guess what? They were fighting for absolutely NOTHING! They ignored a little misunderstanding they had in the past and it grew to a gigantic issue that nearly ruined them. They ignored their cracked wall that it almost collapsed on them. But the good news is that they left my office a happy couple and ready to mend their wall. I've been following them up and I must say that their relationship has come alive.
I don't know the crack on your wall that needs urgent attention.

We're Just Here On Transit
Recently, I lost a cousin so dear to me. When the news of her death came, I couldn't take it. I was just living in denial until it dawned on me that she's gone for ever. Her death reminded me again that we're here on earth just on transit.
Just this morning, I read a unique piece that took me down memory lane from my past to present and imagination took me far away into the future.
Every morning we wake up to thank God for the GIFT of a new day but the big question that's begging for an answer is, what exactly are we doing with that PRICELESS GIFT OF LIFE? Who exactly is feeling my impact? Who is benefiting from my existence? Does my way of life please and glorify God? If God calls me home today, would I confidently embark on that journey of no return to answer him?

You're Gifted To Give
When God created man and installed treasures in him, the essence is for the man to discover the treasures and use them to continue creation.
It doesn't really bother me when you make a decision not to enjoy the freedom that comes with self discovery and the provisions attached to the treasures in you. What bothers me so much is the divine dots that you've refused to connect. I'm so worried about it because it's not just about you but its about those destinies attached to you.
You're gifted to give. You're blessed to bless. If at this point in time, nobody is benefiting anything from you, then there's a serious problem that needs to be sorted out urgently.

Life Is A Book
Life Is A Book.
Life on earth is just like a book. Every human being is consciously or unconsciously writing a book. The earlier you understand that you started writing a book the very day you came into this world, the better for you. The big question is, what exactly are you doing to make your book inspiring ? Who exactly will read your book when you're gone? Will your book be indelible or will it be washed off by the first rain that comes by, after you're gone?
We get so excited and happy whenever we write the rosy pages of our lives. But we get so uncomfortable and unhappy when the time to write the tough pages of our lives comes up. If we can't patiently write the tough pages of our lives, we may not be able to write a good book. Allow God to lead you through every page of your life and you will be sure to give both heaven and earth, a great and memorable piece.
Always remember that whatever you do on earth matters. Strive tirelessly to give heaven and earth a great and memorable piece!

The Mystery Of A Journey Called Life
"The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon but that we wait so long to begin it." W.M. Lewis
Most times, life does not turn out as we envision . For some, the course of life unveils better than they could have ever thought. So, their "oh, thank God!" could be heard at the other end of the world . But for some others, life is worse than their worse nightmare that they tag the former "lucky". Is it really luck? Don't be quick to answer.

Parents Do Have A Rethink!
I'm sure that every normal parent would want to see his or her child grow into a responsible and successful adult tomorrow? The challenge is not in the wishing but in the working it out.
Anybody can wish for something good but not everybody can work out something good.
Please let's ponder on the following.
I call parents children's first library in life because the first and basic learning of every child stems up from the parents, not minding the crazy trend of entrusting children in the hands of "caregivers".
Now as a parent who smokes cigarettes but recites the dangers of hard drugs usage to your children, even when they take turns in buying sticks of cigarettes for you, what exactly do you think you're doing? You seriously need a rethink.
A parent who recites the litany of dangers of lying tongue to his or her children but can't bath an eyelid when telling lies, hope you know that you're joking? If you asked junior to tell a visitor that you've gone out when you're coiled up in your bedroom and still scold junior the next minute over lies, have you ever given a thought on what could be going on in Junior's mind concerning you? S/he can grow up with a mindset that it's actually good to preach against telling lies but it's great to lie as long as you're not caught. Daddy/Mummy, you really need a rethink.
When you tell a child how neat and clean you can be but cannot desist from littering the streets with wraps of biscuits and their likes, hope you know that you're joking? You seriously need a rethink.
As a parent, you can't keep feeding the little negative foxes in your life in the full glare of your children and expect them to grow into wonderful adults at the end of the day. Would you want your children to live a life you're living today? We really need to be ever conscious of the truth that children grow with what they see and not necessarily what they hear. When what you say conflicts with what you do, you become a "confusionist" to these children. Don't you know that you're the living library that your children see? Be more conscious of what you do than what you say, even when you think that they are not watching.
Bring out the best you in you. It's achievable if you believe. Match your words with your actions. If what you teach your children is quite contrary to your lifestyle, then there's an urgent need for a rethink.
