The Beauty of Life

Have you ever wondered why it seems as if some people easily get whatever good they want from their friends, relatives, colleagues, etc. at a snap of their finger? Did I hear you say favor? Yes favor could be magical but is it possible that some people are favored all their lives while some are not? Better still, have you ever wondered why some people seem to get along with almost everybody that comes their way while some other people easily lose count of failed friendships, relationships and every word that ends with ‘ships’ in their lives?
This time around you may say luck but is it possible for some people to be that unlucky to the extent that every friendship and relationship they engage in ends up almost the same way? I wonder just as you are wondering. Then why is it that some women easily move the heart of men that people consider extremely difficult to deal with while some other women always have pathetic stories to tell on how almost impossible it is to influence their men, even for once? I hope you will not attribute it to beauty because the beautiful ones also have sad stories to tell on this issue.
There is a skill that is so important that every human being must strive to learn. Nobody is born perfect with this skill but those that know the importance of this skill strive every day to learn every bit of it. This skill is needed in our homes. It is needed in work places, learning environments, churches, mosques and virtually everywhere. This skill is needed by young and old, single and married, men and women, employers and employees, parents and children and every human being in this world. Wondering the skill that I am talking about?
It is skill for INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIP.
What is interpersonal relationship?
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIP can be defined as strong or deep social associations, connections or affiliations between two or more people. This association may be based on inference, love, solidarity, regular business interactions, or some other type of social commitments.
Interpersonal relationship can be brief, such as when you interact with the pharmacist at the local pharmacy – or lifelong – such as the relationship you enjoy with a spouse, friend or family member. There can also be professional interpersonal relationships, such as those with work colleagues, a relationship between employer and employee, business owner and a customer. Any person with whom you share communication, whether face-to-face, anonymously over the Internet, a stranger you pass on the street or the neighbor next door, defines the meaning of interpersonal relationship.
Why do we need Interpersonal Relationship to Succeed in Life? Why should we strive for a good Interpersonal Relationship? People who build good relationships with almost everyone they come in contact with certainly experience more success in life than those who do not. How you may ask?
1. Mental Well-Being: Interpersonal relationship affects our attitude and outlook on life. Interpersonal relationships help to alleviate anxiety and avoid depression and mood swings. It creates positive attitude and happier outlook.
2. Good Leadership: People that easily create good interpersonal relationships inevitably make better leaders because emotionally they are more stabilized, they have the interest of people around them at heart and they would not want to hurt or fail them.
3. Conflict Resolution: When we strive to keep a good interpersonal relationship with the people around us, we can discern people’s emotions and empathize with their perspective and by so doing, it’s much easier to resolve conflicts or possibly avoid them before they start.
4. Social Importance: The ability to interact effectively with people is a strong attractive tool. People tend to be attracted to where they are treated nice, where they are talked to in a friendly manner. A husband rushes home to a wife that treats him like a king just as a woman adores a man who treats her like a queen. A child that has a good interpersonal relationship shares his experiences and life challenges with his parents.
5. Business Opportunities: Good interpersonal relationship is a tool for networking opportunities. This is so in the sense that people tend to be attracted to someone that have good interpersonal relationship skills and by so doing, it creates great opportunity for him to network with people from different works of life and this exposes him to fresh ideas, innovations and business opportunities.
6. Balanced Physical Health: Anybody that strives for interpersonal relationship achieves good healthy living because in the course of striving to have a good relationship with people around him, he develops priceless virtue that is needed for good health. He develops peace and joy. When you are at peace with your neighbor, you are at peace with yourself and when you are at peace with yourself, you are at peace with your health. You go to bed and have a peaceful night rest.
7. Spiritual Importance: Whatever we do in this world, God is one being that can never be sidetracked because He is the center of attraction. There’s no shortcut to avoid God. The knowledge and reference to His existence is the beginning of success. We need God in all our endeavors. We need Him to live because He is the source of life, we need Him for wisdom to succeed in business, for knowledge to excel in academics, because He is love itself we need Him in our love life, we need Him for protection, in-fact the Old Man is just everywhere. Little wonder He is called Omni in everything. So we need good interpersonal relationship skills to attract God’s favor so as to soar in life. The man David had a wonderful relationship with God. At times during my quite time, I usually create a mental picture of God and David; when David praised Him to make Him yield to his request. When you develop and maintain a good interpersonal relationship with people around you, you keep the greatest commandment which is love. When you keep God’s commandment, you attract God’s favor
Good interpersonal relationship is a key to every door. In everything you do in life, you need good interpersonal relationship skills to succeed. Be it in family, business, offices and virtually everywhere.
1. You need good interpersonal relationship to win God’s favor.
2. As a man/woman, you need good interpersonal relationship to win your spouse’s favor.
3. Even as a child, you need good interpersonal relationship to win your parent’s favor.
4. As a parent, you need good interpersonal relationship to raise good children.
5. As an employee, you need good interpersonal relationship to win your employer’s favor.
6. As an employer, you need good interpersonal relationship to win your employee’s commitment in order to succeed.
In a nutshell, we need interpersonal relationship in our families, work places, religious institutions, academic institutions and everywhere to excel, succeed and live happily. It is as important to human being as wings are important to birds because if you excel in all points outlined above, for sure you are a successful person.
