You Better Watch It!

When you taste success, watch it lest you come crashing down from a great height!

When you have tasted success, you really need to be careful because in as much as climbing to the top is important, staying at the top is more important.

For you to stay at the top, you need a positive attitude and virtue of humility to continually improve and grow. Do not make yourself a demigod. Watch it when you start having the following feelings;

  1. I have arrived.
  2. I am no longer teachable because I have seen and known it all.
  3. I know more than everybody so nobody is qualified enough to teach me again.
  4. I must be consulted before anything works out because I am now successful.

Please watch it for I can see danger sign! Watch it lest you come crashing down from a great height! Any time you feel you are no longer teachable marks the beginning of your end because you cannot grow with that ugly attitude.

In life, the best stage you can be is at that stage where you can teach someone and someone else can teach you. That is the stage that aids continuous growth. Mentor someone while someone mentors you. Wise men and women are always ready to learn because learning is a continuous process.  As long as you are from God, for God and of God, you cannot reign today and fade tomorrow because God reigns forever and the glory of God in you ought to continually radiate until the end of time. It is left for you to release it for people to see, touch and feel. You must press forward to keep the pace. Do not relax on the celebrated success.

When you are working according to God’s purpose for you on earth, you will be fighting with time because even when you are still on a project, Holy Spirit is dropping another in your spirit and it can even come in twos, threes, depending on how focused you are in multiplying your God given talent. Remember that He says in Matthew 13:12 “For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.” That is to say that when you are working on your talent, more will be revealed to you but when you leave your talent dormant, it will fade away. That is why we have few "multitalented" people in our society and too many people that live as if they do not have talent. That is the only reason why someone would believe that he has no talent. When your talent is dormant, it is as good as dead because it has no life in it and it can only be active when you work on it. When you strive to change the status-qua, you shall continually evolve, stay at the top of your game and make a positive impact in life.

Shalom!
